The enrollment fees are based on a school division’s composite index, a number calculated by the state to represent a locality’s ability to pay for its public education.Īccomack’s composite index for 2022 through 2024 is approximately 0.34 out of a possible 0.80, which would place it in the lowest of the three levels on the Virtual Virginia enrollment fee scale. Jordan noted that Virtual Virginia is adding new courses for the upcoming school year at no additional cost to the school division.Īccomack covers Virtual Virginia’s enrollment fees, which are charged per course, per student in grades 6 to 12.
